No.1
Also known as Slade, No. 1 is our specimen carp lake. To any angler wanting to test their skills, No. 1, with carp topping the 23lb mark and plenty of late doubles, offers a viable challenge to the keen carp fisherman. It also has a good stock of carp around 10lb, along with recorded catches of Rudd & Roach at over 1lb, Perch over 2lb, Tench to 4lb and eels rumoured to reach 6lb. No.1 currently holds 6 of our clubs fish records, Common, Mirror and Ghost Carp, both the Rudd and Roach records and Chub, although it has been a number of years since a Chub has been seen in No.1. Fishing tight in the margins has proven very successful over the years, although a bit of crust on the surface is definitely not to be ignored. Sweetcorn, luncheon meat, pellets work very well all year round where as dog biscuits and floating crust will keep you coming back for more in the summer months.

There are strict rules to any fishing on No. 1 that need to be adhered to at all times, please refer to the Rules and Regulations page in the link below or in your membership booklet for further information.
